Written by on March 30, 2019

The Rochester City School Board unanimously agreed to offer retirement incentives in response to the Rochester City School District’s proposed 2019- 2020 budget, which called for 326 positions to be cut.

In order for the plan to be put into action 110 teachers would have to take the incentive, so far 111 have done so. President of the Board, Van White, believes offering retirement incentives will reduce involuntary layoffs.
