Russia Claims Breakthrough in Anti-Aging Gene Therapy Research

Russia is pushing a controversial anti-aging “vaccine” project backed by Vladimir Putin, who has invested billions into research aimed at slowing or stopping aging as the country faces population decline. 

Scientists are exploring gene therapy targeting the RAGE receptor, linked to aging, though it’s still in early stages with no human trials yet. 

Officials claim a potential rollout between 2028 and 2030. While the idea has drawn global attention, similar longevity research is already underway in the U.S., just under different terms. 

Critics say the effort is driven partly by elite ambitions for extended life, as Putin has long shown a personal obsession with health and longevity.
