Regional Transit Service (RTS) is launching a new shuttle route to the Rochester Calkins VA Clinic starting Monday, July 14.
The initiative is designed to improve transportation access for local veterans and their families.
Operating weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the shuttle will run every 20 minutes between the Hylan Drive connection hub near Marketplace Mall and the VA clinic.
The fare is $1, but veterans enrolled in RTS’ free fare program through the Veterans Outreach Center (VOC) can ride for free.
Officials emphasize the service as a step toward greater independence and support for veterans in Monroe County.
