RPD Will Distribute Anti-Theft Devices To City Residents For Kia And Hyundai Owners

Written by on February 14, 2023

The Rochester Police Department will be distributing anti-theft devices for Hyundai and Kia vehicles. The devices will be given to city residents with models that were manufactured from 2010 to 2020.

This distribution of the anti-theft devices comes as a way to curb stolen vehicles until the car manufacturers create a fix to the software. There have been over 400 cars stolen locally this year due to the viral tik tok video.

You can pick up the anti-theft devices from the following locations:

  • Northwest Quadrant Neighborhood Service Center, 400 Dewey Avenue
  • Northeast Quadrant Neighborhood Service Center, 500 Norton Street
  • Southwest Quadrant Neighborhood Service Center, 923 Genesee Street
  • Southeast Quadrant Neighborhood Service Center, 320 North Goodman Street, Suite 209

Rochester Police Department Lieutenant Greg Bello stopped by the WDKX Wake Up Club Tuesday morning to discuss the distribution of the anti-theft devices.
