RPD Investigating More Car Break-ins

RPD investigating a series of car break-ins that occurred downtown on Tuesday.

Officers responded to reports of seven damaged vehicles near 45 East Avenue, with some items stolen. Additionally, eight vehicles were targeted in a parking lot by Gibbs and Main streets, close to the Eastman School of Music, between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

While the break-ins are considered separate incidents, they are believed to have happened within approximately 30 minutes of each other.

No arrests have been made, and authorities are looking for video evidence. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
