Rochester Teachers Contract Extension Approved By Board

The Rochester Board of Education approved a one-year contract extension with the Rochester Teachers Association. The contract includes a 4% salary increase for all association members and a $2,500 retention bonus for teachers active between June 1 and Sept. 15 of next year. District officials said the agreement, which amounts to about $7.5 million, was essential to finalize before the start of the school year.
