Rochester Red Wings No Longer Recognized As Minnesota Twins Affiliate

The Minnesota Twins have recently announced that they will no longer be affiliating with the Rochester Red Wings.
Wings General Manager Dan Mason gave a statement Tuesday night, saying:
“We’ve known for a while that this was a possibility. The finality of it kinda hit home today. It’s been a bit of a bummer.”
It’s nothing personal, part of the reason is the MLB’s hope to keep their minor league affiliates geographically closer to home. The Twins will have a new Triple-A affiliate in St. Paul going forward.
“We had a great run with the Twins. A lot of unbelievable memories. A lot unbelievable people have come through here,” Mason said. “They were great to work with.”
