Rochester Red Wings Inaugural Nike Baseball Kids Camp

This week, the Rochester Red Wings are hosting a first-of-its-kind unique camp. Welcoming children between the ages of 7 and 13, the ballpark is set to be buzzing with the kick-off of the premier Nike Baseball Camp.
Guided by Red Wings’ manager, Matt LeCroy, and a crew of other coaches and players, the camp participants will be a week filled with skill development, team-bonding, and a variety of baseball-centric activities. LeCroy stated: “It’s a joy for all of us. We understand the excitement from a child’s perspective. If I had a chance to experience a Triple-A field alongside coaches and players when I was young, I wouldn’t have missed it. It offers us an avenue to discuss and focus on the fundamentals, which can sometimes get lost at higher levels. Interestingly, the drills we perform here are the same ones we practice with our team, providing an inside look at our daily routines.”
Each camper will be gifted a T-shirt, a wristband, and a ticket to the upcoming Thursday game against the Durham Bulls. In addition, they’ll have the experience of being introduced on the field that same Thursday night.
