Rochester Malls & Salons Prepare to Reopen

Governor Cuomo did not give the greenlight to begin Phase 2 of reopening during his daily briefing. However local businesses say they are ready to get back to work.

Retailers and professional services inside Rochester’s local shopping malls are preparing to welcome customers on Monday. Wilmorite Management sent a letter to it’s tenants at Eastview, Marketplace and The Mall at West Ridge telling them to have staff ready to go on June 1.

This includes Fracassi Lashes and The Blow Dry Lounge in Greece, which are both owned by Falicia Fracassi.

Falicia and her team recently re-opened locations in Florida. She says the key to reopening safely is making sure service areas are routinely sanitized and all customers and staff are wearing masks. Which are available inside both salons while supplies last.

Some stores in the mall are already providing curb-side pick-up. But now staff if getting the shops ready to welcome customers inside to shop.

Although Phase 2 of reopening is expected to begin May 29. Nothing moves until the Governor of New York says so.
