Rochester Hosts MWBE Roundtable to Improve Access and Equity

Local and state officials gathered at the Church of Love in Rochester for a Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Roundtable hosted by the New York State Senate. The event aimed to help attendees understand the MWBE certification process and gather feedback on how the program can better serve upstate New Yorkers. State Senator James Sanders Jr., Chair of the Senate Banking Committee, emphasized the importance of public input, noting that the law governing MWBE programs must be reauthorized annually.
