Rochester Hosted Free Community Brunch for Transgender Day of Remembrance
Written by Site Hub on November 21, 2022
Yesterday, the Next Generation Men of Transition, Blaque/Out Magazine, and W.A.V.E Woman Inc. partnered up with the City of Rochester to host a free community brunch to commemorate Transgender Day of Remembrance.
Transgender Day of Remembrance began in 1998 after the murder of Rita Hester, a transgender woman from just outside of Boston. This day is meant to honor the lives of at least 33 transgender and non-binary people that were murdered in 2022 so far.
