Rochester City School District Looks To Recruit Mentors With Pillars Of Hope Program

If you have been wondering what you can do to impact the lives of young people in the city we have some information for you. This upcoming school year there is an opportunity for you to mentor a student.

The Rochester City School District is looking for Black and Latino professionals to be a mentor through the Pillars of Hope Program. Through the program you will only have to commit one hour per month minimum to participate with a pillars team in the school.

The goal of the program is to help kids overcome challenges so they can reach their full potential. If you would like to become a mentor or more information on the Pillars of Hope program click here.

There will be a recruitment session Wednesday July 20th on the Rochester City Council Chambers at City Hall. If you would like to attend this meeting you have to register so click here. The meeting is from 6 pm – 7:30 pm.
