The Rochester Board of Education has approved a budget of over $1.1 billion for the 2025-2026 school year.
The budget focuses on key district priorities, including boosting early literacy, improving English Language Arts and math proficiency, and enhancing social-emotional learning.
It also allocates funding to expand college and career pathway programs to better prepare students for life after graduation.
Interim Superintendent Dr. Demario Strickland collaborated with incoming Superintendent Dr. Eric Rosser, who will assume the role in July, to shape the budget.
