Rochester and Monroe County residents to receive free face masks

Monroe County received funding from a CARES Act program to help officials distribute over a million masks to area residents. Any resident of Monroe County can receive a free face mask between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, and Wednesday, May 13, at the following locations:

– Brighton: 2300 Elmwood Avenue (Town Hall)
– Brockport: 40 Allen Street (Middle School)
– Chili: 3333 Chili Avenue (Town Hall)
– Clarkson: 3645 Lake Road (Hafner Park)
– East Rochester: 317 Main Street (Municipal Offices)
– Gates: 1605 Buffalo Road (Town Hall)
– Greece: 647 Long Pond Road (Public Works)
– Hamlin: 1658 Lake Road (Town Hall)
– Henrietta: 625 Calkins Road (Library and Rec Center)
– Irondequoit: 1280 Titus Ave (Town Hall)
– Mendon/Honeoye Falls: 167 West Main Street, Honeoye Falls (Community Center) & 101 Mendon-Ionia Road, Mendon (Fire Department)
– Ogden: 269 Ogden Center Road (Community Center)
– Parma/Village of Hilton: 1300 Hilton Parma Corners Road (Town Hall)
– Penfield: 1985 Baird Road (Community Center)
– Perinton: 1350 Turk Hill Road (Recreation Center)
– Pittsford: 472 Mendon Road (High School)
– Sweden: 4927 Lake Road (Community Center)
– Riga/Village of Churchville: 24 Washington Street (Fire Department)
– Rush: 1900 Rush Scottsville Road (William Udicious Pavilion)
– Spencerport: 27 West Avenue (Village Office) – Saturday Only
– Webster: 1000 Ridge Road (Court House)
– Wheatland: 940 North Road, Scottsville (High School) & 883 George Street, Mumford (Donnelly House)

As Monroe County Executive Adam Bello explained: “As we start to reopen, it’s important to maintain healthy habits, or we’ll go backwards. One of those healthy habits is covering your face… Today, we are taking it a step further by working with our local government partners to provide residents with more of those much-needed face coverings free of charge.”

Residents in the City of Rochester will also receive access to an additional 500,000 free masks at some point later in the month.
