‘Roc the Block’ Offers Hundreds of Jobs to Rochester Residents through Direct Outreach

Thursday, a couple dozen employers joined the ‘Roc the Block’ event. These employers work for companies like Bausch & Lomb, Genesee Brewery and Thermo-Fisher Scientific.
All of the employers who joined are looking to hire right now and are requiring minimal to no experience.
Some of the employers talked to reporters.
Alex Teglash with Baush and Lomb stated:
“We have this whole building expansion that we’re hiring for, so it’s opening up a ton of jobs.”
Christopher Videan with Thermo-Fisher Scientific stated:
“There’s talent everywhere in Rochester and we like to find those opportunities wherever we can.”
