RIT’s City Art Space Relocates to Rochester’s Neighborhood of Play

Written by on May 3, 2025

RIT’s downtown gallery, City Art Space, is moving from Sibley Square to the vibrant Neighborhood of Play, near The Strong Museum of Play. For 25 years, the gallery has showcased student work and fostered community engagement. Gallery director John Aasp says the new location will expand programming and reach, thanks to higher foot traffic from museum visitors. A grand reopening is slated for September with a series of new exhibitions planned.
