RG&E Customers Face Possible 33% Increase in Heating Bills
Written by Site Hub on October 9, 2021
RG&E recently spoke out about the possibility of more than 319,000 of its natural gas customers seeing a 33% increase in their heating bills compared to last winter. According to the average projected by New York State Public Service Commission, this is higher than the statewide average as the commission released a projection of a 21% increase in heating bills across the state this winter.
RG&E’s Senior Communications Coordinator, Michael Jamison, stated: “Much like you’re seeing globally and across the country, the price of natural gas is on the rise. As a result, customers here in RG&E service area will see a rise on their bill with respect to the supply costs that we all pay for energy.”
