The weather is warming up which means construction season is full steam ahead! With that comes delays and slow traffic because of the work zones. So be prepared to slow down.
New York State Police are reminding drivers to use caution and slow down in work zones. Operation Hard Hat is in effect so police are cracking down on drivers not adhering to construction work zone speeds.
Police will ticket drivers for unsafe driving in areas where construction crews are working. You could also face license suspension for reckless driving in work zones.
There will be more construction this year than in previous years due to infrastructure repairs so be safe out there and slow down!
