Red Wings Host ESL Ballpark Watch Party Thursday (09/24) For Decisive Playoff Game

The Rochester Red Wings’ hopes of making it into the Triple-A National Championship Game all hinges on Thursday night’s game three. The Red Wings won game one 4-3 against the Memphis Redbirds in the team’s first playoff series in 13 years. However, the Wings lost 15-4 in Wednesday night’s game two, leaving the best-of-three International League Championship Series tied up.
The Red Wings are playing the entire series in Memphis, but that hasn’t stopped fans from gathering to cheer. During both games, fans gathered at ESL Ballpark to watch the team on the video boards. Game one happened to be on the same day as the team’s third annual Home Run Derby, a celebration featuring local high school and college athletes.
Once again, fans will gather at ESL Ballpark for Thursday’s decisive game. Gates will open at 7 p.m. and the first pitch is set for 7:45 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear their Red Wings gear. If the Wings win, they’ll punch their ticket to the championship game at Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin, Nevada on Saturday, Sept. 26.
