Record High Triple Digit Temperatures Roast The West Coast

Record high temperatures are sweeping across the west coast as the biggest heatwave in recorded history takes place.
Los Angeles recorded a record high of 121ºF which is 2 degrees higher than the previous record, set in 2006.
The National Weather Service issued a report that said:
“The temperature at Woodland Hills may yet go up additionally, and many other records around the region will be broken today.”
Residents aren’t only are facing record high temperatures, but the aftermath of August heat and thunderstorms creating wildfires that have many people trapped or displaced from their homes.
Environmentalists have warned that climate change will make these heat waves longer and more severe.
