RCSD Prepares for Possibility of Remote Learning
Written by Site Hub on December 22, 2021
Given the current COVID climate in the state of New York and Monroe County, Rochester City School District students are being told to bring home their learning devices for winter break in case the district has to shift to remote learning. If this case becomes reality, according to the RCSD Twitter account, families will be notified immediately in case they have to do so. Winter break will begin on December 24th to January 3rd. Each student will be provided with a rapid COVID-19 test kit to take home this week, advising kids to take the test before returning to school.
RCSD stated: “With positive COVID cases on the rise, we are asking all students to bring home their technology during the break. While no decision has been made to shift to remote learning, we want to ensure that everyone is fully prepared.”
