RCSD Names New Superintendent

After the announcement of the former Superintendent of the Rochester City School District Dr. Lesli Myers-Small will be leaving ahead of the end of her contract, the Rochester City School Board has announced their new superintendent. Effective immediately, Dr. Carmine Peluso will be the new acting superintendent of the district. Dr. Peluso is entering his 25th year in education and is currently the deputy superintendent of operations and administration.
Dr.Lesli Myers-Smal started the early negotiations of her exit back in July. She is currently on leave while the negotiations of her separation from the district are finalized. The board will begin discussions on the search for a new superintendent during their public work session on September 1.
