The superintendent of the Rochester City School District has addressed a recent data breach involving the PowerSchool software, which manages student records.
Occurring in late December, the breach potentially affects over 130,000 student records, including names, contact information, medical records, grades, and transcripts.
However, district leaders emphasize that no identities have been compromised, and there are no reports of stolen information.
The superintendent reassured families and staff that they are ready to address any concerns arising from the incident.
