Tommy DeBarge, a member of the R&B band Switch, has reportedly passed away at age 64. Yesterday, TMZ reported that DeBarge passed away after being hospitalized for kidney failure.
Tommy DeBarge rose to fame as a part of the band, Switch, during the mid-to-late 1970s with hits like “There’ll Never Be,” “Love Over & Over Again,” and “I Call Your Name.” Tommy and his brother Bobby DeBarge were the founding members of the group, which was composed of their siblings. Both of the brothers left Switch to mentor their younger brothers and sister in DeBarge, another band until Bobby died of AIDS-related complications in 1995.
