Rapper GloRilla Arrested on Drug Charges During Burglary Investigation

GloRilla, the Grammy-nominated rapper, was arrested after police investigating a burglary at her Atlanta home found marijuana and controlled substances. The artist, whose real name is Gloria Woods, turned herself in and was released on bond. While she was performing at the WNBA All-Star Game, three intruders attempted to rob her residence. A family member fired a gun during the incident, but the suspects escaped. Deputies, citing the smell of narcotics, obtained a search warrant and discovered drugs in the master bedroom closet. Woods criticized law enforcement for prioritizing drug charges over investigating the break-in. Her lawyers argue that she is a victim and that police diverted resources away from apprehending the actual perpetrators. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, but no arrests have been made in connection to the burglary.
