‘Project Runway’ Designer Killed at Utah Protest by Peacekeeper

Fashion designer Afa Ah Loo, a father of two and “Project Runway” alum, was fatally shot during a “No Kings” protest in Salt Lake City. He was struck by gunfire from a volunteer “peacekeeper” aiming at Arturo Gamboa, a man reportedly brandishing an AR-15. Gamboa survived and was arrested for murder. The peacekeepers, not sanctioned by law enforcement, acted independently. Police are investigating whether charges will be brought against them. The shooting has raised questions about the use of armed civilian security at public protests.
