Positive News Story: Gus Macker Basketball Tournament

Gus Macker Basketball returned to Rochester for its second annual 3 on 3 tournament. From June 30th-July 1st, players 8-80 years old competed on Court Street across from the Blue Cross Arena.
“This is good for this city. Just to bring people out the elements, that they`ve been in. I`ve met a couple guys from Lockport, from Genesee, Clinton, Chili, and Cobb`s Hill and to come up here and hoop in this type of environment is dope,” said tournament player, Cuevas Walker.
Since 1987, the Gus Macker 3 on 3 tournament has donated an estimated $16 million to charities. Proceeds from 2018`s local tourney will go towards youth sporting programs in Rochester.
“When everybody`s on one accord something powerful always comes from it.”
