After viewing the body camera footage, Andrew Brown’s attorney believes the shooting was unjustified.

Andrew Brown was fatally shot on April 21st when the Pasquotank County deputies in Elizabeth City, NC were trying to execute a warrant.

Brown’s attorney, Chance Lynch, said him and the family viewed 6 videos. One from the dash board and 5 from body cameras.

Lynch stated in a news conference Tuesday:

“We were able to see some critical footage that yields some truth and transparency to what we thought we would see from the beginning.”

Meanwhile, the Pasquotank County Sheriff Officials wish to release the video to the public.

County Sheriff, Tommy Wooten stated:
“It was my hope that we will be able to release the video publicly so everyone could see for themselves what happened. We respect the court’s decision and took an oath to abide by North Carolina law and we’ve done just that.”
