Pittsburgh Steelers’ CPR Sack Celebration Called Out For Insensitive Behavior

If you haven’t been paying attention to the NFL, this past week has been filled with love for Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin after being rushed to the hospital for cardiac arrest last Mondy night football. Yesterday kicked off the return of football, a celebration for Hamlin, and a Bills win.
At the other games played Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers had other plans in celebration of their game, and one word to describe it is yikes. Steelers linebacker Alex Highsmith sacked Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson. A teammate then came over and “performed” CPR on Highsmith. This was very tasteless, especially since Pittsburgh is Hamlin’s hometown, and in the stadium where Hamlin played his college football for Pitt.
No response to the incident from the Steelers’ or the Bills have been made at this time.
