Parolee Arrested After Violent Attack, Car Chase in Rochester

Isaiah Weathers, a 34-year-old recently paroled for prior carjacking and robbery convictions, was arrested following an assault in the Rochester General Hospital parking lot. Weathers is accused of attacking a woman, choking her for several minutes, and stealing her car. Police responded to the scene around 9:30 a.m. and later spotted the stolen vehicle, leading to a high-speed chase. During the pursuit, Weathers allegedly attempted to run over New York State troopers setting up spike strips. The chase ended on River View Heights, where he fled on foot and was ultimately found by a K9 unit. Weathers now faces multiple charges, including robbery, assault, and reckless endangerment, with further charges anticipated.
