Palmyra couple compiles donations to drive down to those affected by Hurricane Helene

Written by on October 4, 2024

A couple from Palmyra, Todd Schram and his fiancée Bridget Bergstresser, are organizing relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Helene. Using their livestock trailer, they are collecting donations from the community to deliver essential supplies to devastated areas in the Carolinas. The hurricane has caused over 120 deaths and billions in damage, prompting an overwhelming response from locals eager to contribute. Schram’s call for donations on Facebook has already filled one trailer, and they are prepared to make multiple trips if needed. Volunteers are coming together this Saturday to load the trailer before Schram departs for North Carolina.
