Oop! Keyshia Cole Claps Back At Comments About Her “Diaper” Shorts At Dreamville Fest

Keyshia Cole is NOT here for the shade about her Dreamville Fest outfit, and she let that be known! For context, the 43-year-old rocked a pair of shorts, an athletic top, and a windbreaker while performing her hit songs. Folks online had a lot to say about the look, including during an Instagram Live session this past weekend.

Keyshia Cole Claps Back Over Her “Diaper-ish” Shorts

The Instagram Live session seemingly happened on Friday, April 11. A fan viewing the live told Keyshia that her shorts looked like a “diaper” on stage and questioned why she wore them. Well, the singer wasted no time clapping back. 

“Because it’s my motherf****** business why I got my god damn diaper on, why the f*** do you care about it,” Keyshia snapped back, partially hiding her face behind a VR headset. “What it mean to you that I got on a goddamn $1,000 diaper — what it mean to you?”

Cole made it clear she wasn’t going to sweat the criticism, though. But she also later admitted her look was a lil’ diaper-ish. “But I didn’t care; I liked it anyway,” she said.

Meanwhile, a woman assumed to be a friend, appeared in the background, spilling ALL her tea. She joked that Keyshia was loving how her butt popped in them shorts backstage. “She like her butt looking like a diaper,” they teased, acting out how Keyshia was feeling herself right before she went on stage. Keyshia Cole was trying to keep it cute by covering her mouth to hide her laughter but then flipped off the trolls.

The Roomies Sound Off In the Comments

The Roomies hopped in the comments section to sound off on their thoughts about Keyshia defending her “diaper” shorts, and they definitely had A LOT to say.

@hatamakajuno wrote, “Know you was dead wrong for the windbreaker panties KeyKey.”

Another person by the name @arielesq305 continued, “Bringing up the price is how you know they be hurt ”

A third person, @sitchchick, commented, “Someone called it a windbreaker diaper and I’m still laughing hours later ”

Another person, @mannysmania, added, “My daughter swim in one of them.”

@dnaybisme also took to the comments, writing, “I thought it was cute and sporty for the festival ”

@vickiirvin seemed to agree, expressing, “Leave this queen alone, she gave us fabulous hits and looks good!!! ”

Even her ex-husband, Daniel Gibson, was in the comments, as he joked, “Thousand dollar diaper is diabolical. ”

Meanwhile, @prettysmilecece_  wrote, “Keyshia? Do you know you are the Keyshia Cole ? ”

Keyshia Cole Celebrates 20 Years of ‘The Way It Is’

While people were talking about her Dreamville Fest ‘fit, Keyshia reminded us she’s STILL that girl as she teased the 20th anniversary of her debut album, ‘The Way It Is.’ In a post shared to her Instagram on Saturday (April 12), the singer shared behind-the-scenes footage of her slaying a photoshoot with her signature ginger blonde and red hair. Sis was giving 2000s realness with her fur-hooded leather jacket. Additionally, in her accompanying caption, she teased fans, writing, “Guess what?” along with a two-eye and kiss emoji. “#20years #thewayitis,” the caption concluded.
