Ontario County Deputies: Walmart Employee Stole $10,047 From Register

A Walmart employee in Victor, David Ashworth, was arrested after allegedly stealing $10,047 from his cash register, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say he took the money during his shift, hid it in a pouch, and retrieved it before leaving the store.

Ashworth was charged with grand larceny, arrested Monday night, and released after his arraignment on Tuesday.

He is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.
