Officials Seek Warehouse Owner After Gorham Fire
Written by Site Hub on September 14, 2025
Ontario County officials continue efforts to locate the owner of a Gorham warehouse destroyed in a massive fire last month. The facility, which stored 1,000 pallets of expired hand sanitizer classified as hazardous waste, was home to Eco Operations and Dewey Assets. Authorities say the Environmental Protection Agency is moving forward with cleanup plans despite the absent owner. Criminal charges remain possible, and town officials confirmed ongoing contact with the owner’s attorneys. A recreational advisory for Flint Creek is still in effect due to concerns about water safety and reports of dead fish, pending further environmental review.
