NY State Senate Passes Proposal’s To Help Veterans

There are a couple of bills that passed in the state Senate to help veterans who served in the military and in war zones. The proposals will help veterans and active duty military personnel better acclimate to civilian life.

The bills include a property tax exemption for veterans who served in combat. There is also a similar bill for veterans that have a 100% service connect disability.

Another of the proposal’s would provide career assistance programs through NYS universities and public colleges.

The bills focus on jobs, housing, and tax relief for veterans to have the support they need for their service.
