NY AG Letitia James Sues Anti-Abortion Group For Blocking Clinic Access

On Thursday, New York Attorney General, Letitia James, initiated a federal lawsuit against anti-abortion group, Red Rose Rescue. Members of this group, known for obstructing access to healthcare clinics across New York and other states, have faced arrests in the past.
James accused the group of terrorizing reproductive healthcare providers and their patients during her announcement of the lawsuit. According to her, several members have trespassed suburban New York clinics, blocked entrances, and invaded waiting rooms.
The legal action, lodged in the Southern District of New York federal court, aims to enforce a 30-feet exclusion zone around any reproductive healthcare facility against Red Rose members. Furthermore, it seeks to impose civil penalties and claim damages.
