Now Hiring: 100 Vacancies At RCSD Need To Be Fill Before School Start Sept. 4th
Written by Tariq on August 12, 2025
Dr. Christopher Miller is the district’s chief of human capital, said they began the summer with 250 vacancies. Eighty teachers retired and more than double that number resigned after the last school year. Most vacancies are for paraprofessionals who assist licensed teachers and teaching assistants. Special education is facing a shortage of ready-to-go teachers. RCSD recruitment events are open to the public and offer on-the-spot hiring opportunities for a wide range of positions across the district. We are actively recruiting for classroom teachers, bilingual educators, paraprofessionals, substitutes, clerical staff, food service workers, transportation staff, custodians, and more. Whether you’re just starting your career or looking for a new opportunity to make an impact, we invite you to attend and learn more about joining the Rochester City School District.
