Nintendo Reveals Switch 2 Launch Date and Features

Nintendo has announced that its new gaming console, the Switch 2, will launch on June 5, 2025. The updated console introduces a new “C” button that activates GameChat, enabling live chat and screensharing with friends. A larger, more vibrant display, Joy-Con controllers that work like a computer mouse, and built-in microphones are also part of the upgrade. The Switch 2 will debut alongside new titles, including a revamped Mario Kart and the highly anticipated Project 007. While backwards compatibility with original Switch games is supported, users will need a new type of SD card. Nintendo will host Switch 2 Experience events globally, giving gamers hands-on previews of the console.
