Nike Files Restraining Order Against Lil Nas X Selling of the ‘Satan Shoes’

Written by on April 3, 2021

Earlier this week, Nike publicly stated “Nike filed a trademark infringement and dilution complaint against MSCHF today related to the Satan Shoes.” They have now filed a restraining order against MSCHF, the art production company responsible for the shoe. Over 600 pairs have already been shipped. This past Monday, 665 pairs of the sneakers priced at $1,018 were sold out in just one minute. There was a raffle for fans to win the 666th pair, but given this order it is now on hold.

Nike’s legal team has stated that there was “irreparable harm” and by removing the customers inability to purchase the shoe still creates “post-sale confusion and delusion.”
