New York State Will Recognize Juneteenth As A State Holiday

Governor Andrew Cuomo made a major announcement Wednesday durning his daily briefing regarding Juneteenth.
Governor Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order recognizing Juneteenth as a paid holiday for state employees.
The governor will propose a legislation to make Juneteenth a permanent state recognized holiday.
Several States across the country have already recognize June 19th as a state holiday.
