New York State Police will conduct a test of the AMBER Alert System on Thursday, March 6, at 10:00 a.m. Residents in AMBER Alert Region 2, which includes Allegany, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, and Wyoming counties, will receive the test alert via mobile phones through the Wireless Emergency Alerts system, as well as through television and radio stations via the Emergency Alert System. NYSP is asking recipients to click the link provided in the alert to confirm the system’s functionality.
