New York Passes Landmark AI Transparency and Likeness Protection Laws 

New York has enacted new laws requiring ads to disclose when they use AI-generated performers and mandating consent from heirs before a deceased person’s name or likeness can be used commercially. 

The legislation aims to prevent consumer deception, protect performers’ rights, and set ethical standards for AI use in advertising and media.
