Yaya Mayweather Goes Viral As She Raps Alongside Friends In New Music Snippet
On Tuesday, clips of Yaya Mayweather rapping alongside her friends began circulating on social media. The video featured Yaya, Miss Jayla, and King Ocean 23 performing their song, ‘3 Headed Goat,’ in a one-take music video.
Dressed in a black hoodie and sunglasses, Yaya stood alongside her friends as she delivered her verse and showed off her rap skills. Yaya kicked off her verse by introducing herself as Money Yaya.
“Knock knock. If they don’t answer, I’mma kick it down. Money Yaya TMT,” she rapped.
She continued her verse with bars as she flexed a lil, “ They know who running the town. Girl, you’ll get your a** whooped. No, I don’t f*** around. We did the plane AP. I had to bust it down.
Throughout the video, Yaya appeared to be enjoying herself as she rapped alongside her friends. However, the clip quickly sparked reactions across social media, with viewers sharing their thoughts on her performance.
Yaya Mayweather Addresses Critics & Opens Up About Her Changing Priorities
As the video began gaining attention across social media, Yaya Mayweather took to her Instagram Story to address the reactions. She explained that while becoming a rapper was once a dream of hers, her interests and priorities have changed as she’s gotten older.
“When I was 18, becoming a rapper was something I genuinely wanted to pursue as a career, but I’m not 18 anymore. I’m a grown woman…almost 27,” she wrote.
Yaya also revealed that her friends invited her to record a song, and she agreed because it sounded fun. However, she made it clear that she has no plans to pursue music professionally. She then opened up about what she’s looking forward to in this new chapter of her life.
“I’m at a completely different place in my life now. I want to travel the world, experience new cultures, go on spontaneous vacations, have spa days, get massages and facials, go shopping, have cute brunch dates with my girls. Take Pilates classes, go to afternoon tea, buy myself flowers, get dressed up for fancy dinners, explore new hobbies, romanticize my life, and enjoy all the beautiful things life has to offer.”
Yaya also emphasized that people’s dreams and aspirations can change over time.“People are allowed to grow, evolve, and outgrow things they once wanted. What I dreamed of at 18 doesn’t have to be what I dream of at 27,” she added. She ended her message by reminding everyone that she was simply having fun with friends and that it was never that serious.
