New Chapter! Delonte West Shows Off Refreshed Look & New Veneers After Speaking About Battling Addiction (PICS + VIDEO)

Delonte West is slowly making his comeback. Not in basketball, but in life. And fans are loving the progress he’s shown following a few years of downs, including battling addiction and multiple arrests. After recently opening up about his journey to sobriety, he blessed his social media feed with an update on his new veneers and his refreshed look!

Delonte West Talks About Seeing Himself Addicted

As mentioned, before surprising his fans with his new look and teeth, Delonte West kept it real about his addiction days. The former NBA player discussed that hardship on the podcast ‘Rise Above with Kevin Lanning.’

He’s been sober for nearly a year now. But for a while, his thoughts were always locked on getting the next high, the next fix. He says watching the videos of himself while addicted, he can only remember getting high being his first, second and third thought.

“You wouldn’t believe having a hospital bracelet on, just got out of jail bracelet. Did you see what happened to me? You just OD’ed and flatlined, and you got on a hospital bracelet and a gown, they gon give you some drugs today,” Delonte admitted were his past thoughts. “Man, they gon’ be like here’s a little extra. With humility, humbleness, you have to be able to see your foolishness and be okay with it.”

In another clip shared by the podcast’s Instagram account, Delonte said he went to a liquor store one day, cracked open what he bought and didn’t go home for 10 years essentially.

Additionally, West explained that God is restoring his life and relationships from 10 years ago. “He took away from me something that was dangerous that I was playing with,” he added. Watch the full interview below. 

Delonte Shows Off New Veneers 

On Tuesday (Sept. 22), Delonte West hopped online with a life and health update for his fans. He posted photos of himself at PGA Dentistry in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The former pro-athlete appeared to pose with the team who worked on his smile. One selfie shows the process of installing Delonte’s veneers, which seemingly included adding silver caps to his mouth. He later followed up with a selfie video, speaking with his new smile! In that post, he seemed to reveal that the cost of the veneers was $65,000. “This the first time I smiled in a long time, young,” Delonte said in the clip.

Also on Sept. 22, Delonte West posted himself in a casual ‘fit on what appeared to be a sunny day with palm trees in the background. West was wearing a blue jean jumper, white tee, white Nike bucket hat, butter Timbs and several gold chains and a gold watch in the photos. He seemed to be posing in a backyard. West had his hair styled in single braids nearly reaching his chin. He didn’t include a caption, but that didn’t stop his comment section from jumpinng off! Fans complimented his new look, veneers and overall climb from the bottom.
