New Campaign Targets Dangerous School Bus Violations

More than 6,000 drivers were cited for illegally passing stopped school buses in Monroe County during the 2025–26 school year.

The county’s stop-arm camera program has issued nearly 20,000 citations since launching in 2023. Greece had the most violations, with 2,339 citations.
Ahead of the new school year, Monroe County is launching “Spot the Stop,” a safety campaign to remind drivers to stop for school buses and protect children.
