Nearly 1,000 people expected to take part in Rochester’s Reindeer Run

Rochester’s annual Reindeer Run returns today, just in time for Christmas festivities. The event includes a 5K race and a Kids Half-Mile, both starting and ending at the Blue Cross Arena. Nearly 1,000 participants are expected to don antlers and run along the scenic Genesee River Path.
The 5K race kicks off at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Half-Mile at 9:20 a.m.
Traffic Advisory:
Several road closures will be in effect during the event:
Exchange Boulevard (Court St. to Broad St.) from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Exchange Blvd. southbound (Broad St. to Plymouth Ave.) from 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Exchange Blvd. northbound (Ford St. to Broad St.) from 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Ford St. (Mt. Hope Ave. to Plymouth Ave.) from 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Wilson Blvd. (Ford St. to McLean St.) from 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Court St. (South Ave. to Exchange Blvd.) from 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
