Muhammad Ali Series ‘The Greatest’ Greenlit at Amazon Prime Video With Widow Lonnie Ali as EP, Jaalen Best to Star

Amazon Prime Video has greenlit “The Greatest,” the first authorized scripted series about Muhammad Ali’s life, with Jaalen Best starring as Ali. Ben Watkins, known for creating Amazon’s “Alex Cross” series, will be the showrunner. The series, produced in collaboration with Ali’s estate and featuring his widow Lonnie Ali as an executive producer, will highlight both the public and private moments of Ali’s life. Other executive producers include Josh Wakely, Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, and Universal Music Group’s Polygram Entertainment. The project aims to capture Ali’s essence as an icon and a man, with a team dedicated to honoring his legacy.
