MTV Animates Lil Nas X’s 2019 VMA Performance

With the 2021 MTV VMA’s right around the corner, some of our favorite artists are being celebrated in new and exciting ways. On MTV’s Youtube page, you can find a series called ‘VMAnimation,’ where there are three iconic VMA performances from the past that have received a new, polished-off look to reimagine the original popstar buzz.
Kicking off this series was Lil Nas X and his cleverly futuristic “Panini” video. The animated feature was directed by Illustrator and animation director Ali Graham, with production company Cartuna that helped create this unique visual experience.
