We are starting to see some COVID-19 restrictions ease in New York State. As the number of coronavirus cases continues to go down Governor Andrew Cuomo will allow some businesses to stay open later. Starting April 5th certain businesses will no longer have to close at 11 pm.
Those businesses are casinos, movie theatres, bowling alleys, gyms and fitness centers, and also billiard halls. Another change fitness classes held indoors can resume at 33% according to the update by the governor on Wednesday. The classes can start at the new capacity on Monday.
However, restaurants and bars are not included and still must follow the 11 pm curfew COVID-19 guidelines. Catered events have to still end at 12 am as well. Gov. Cuomo said he will re-evaluate these businesses in April.
