Monroe County: Thousands Remain Without Power
Written by Site Hub on December 14, 2021
After the brutal wind storm that rolled in on Saturday night, workers continue to restore power for thousands throughout the county. According to county officials as of yesterday afternoon, early 7,500 RG&E customers don’t have power, and the bulk of those without power are located in Greece. On top of those without power, some intersections remain manned by police, who are directing traffic because signal lights aren’t working. RG&E hopes to have everything restored by today at midnight. The county also says about 2,125 National Grid customers don’t have power, and residents are expected to see restoration by 5 pm today. Residents in need of shelter or other help should call 211.
